What make us different?
At Leapfrog Leadership Solutions we employ 5 basic concepts that sets us apart and produces the results our
clients expect. These concepts, as well as the processes presented, will be structured in various ways to
meet
the clients specific needs.
1. Workshop Session Format
Workshop style implementation sessions are designed to facilitate the introduction of practical application
and
encourage student interaction. The number, duration, and timing of sessions will be determined based
upon
the material being presented and each client's own unique situation.
2. Spaced Repetition
Most of us can clearly remember where we were on September 11th, 2001 but have no recollection as to
our whereabouts on say May 22, 2003. When we are exposed to a new concept or idea we will probably
remember
less then 50% of what we heard after the first day. After 16 days we remember as little as 2%.
The exception to
this is when the material presented has a significant impact on us, thus our recollection
of September 11th.
When we attend a motivational seminar we often come away feeling like we have gained significant
knowledge.
Typically, within a few days that “inspiration” is gone and we soon forget about the experience.
The “impact” of
the seminar was not sufficient to cause solid mental retention.
A different learning method, called spaced repetition, has an entirely different outcome. This is the
method by
which we all came to learn our times tables for example. If we deliberately expose ourselves
to the same
concept or idea a minimum of 6 times over a period of time, our retention rate of that information
can be as high
as 62% even 16 years later.
At Leapfrog Leadership Solutions spaced repetition is the very core of our processes.
3. Proven Learning Materials
All of our processes utilize materials developed and refined by Resource Associates Corp. This material
has
been designed to take specific advantage of spaced repetition and includes both written and audio
versions to
make that repetition as convenient as possible. The materials provided also include an
action plan containing
extensive evaluation and planning exercises. Leapfrog Leadership Solutions
will also provide exercises and
handouts, where appropriate, based upon the specific needs of the client.
4. Built-in Motivation
One of the keys to our success is that we integrate the participant’s personal goals with those of the
organization. Participants are motivated to learn because of the rewards and satisfaction that they will realize
through having attained these personal goals.
5. Accountability
Another key to our success is that we provide an element of accountability for our clients. Most of our
engagements include follow up sessions where we sit down with our clients and examine their goals
and
metrics and determine their progress.
